Once again the Superwhites showed exceptional fight and desire straight from the off. One of the best sides in the world in Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool were struggling to contain Ashwood as Tonton Zola Moukoko had two early efforts denied by Allison.

The opposition front line was nullified in part by dogged defensive work and play was effectively broken down by Marco Nipic alongside Keiran Broom as they played as a holding 2 in the middle of the park.

Felix definitely went into the break the happier of the two managers.

The second half was a different story, Ashwood were unable to sustain the energy levels that had seem them dominate in the first 45. It was only a matter of time as the hosts succumbed to 8 shots on target in the space of 12 minutes since coming out from the break.

Salah broke the deadlock following an impressive run, goals from Firmino and Robertson sealed the deal as Ashwood weren’t able to conjure up a single shot in the second half.

Felix Grosjean will look at that first half and will be hoping to replicate it for the full 90 against Tottenham next week.
