Ashwood City Football Club were one of the founding members of the football league in 1888.

We celebrated almost a century of football with our first ever trophy in 1987 when Ashwood City won the Football League Cup, managed at the time by Gerry Harkness this side would go down in history as the best ever Ashwood team.

Whilst trophies haven’t always been easy to come by - we at Ashwood are one of very few clubs that have NEVER been relegated from the Premier League.

In 2017, after a lengthy negotiation process the club was acquired by American business consortium; Anaheim Sports Group.

The owner, Hutch Lewis beguiled Ashwood supporters with a promise of an era he called 'The Offensive' which would involve player recruitment, a refreshing attacking ethos and full redevelopment of the facilities.

Despite the new structure and finances, the control of the club remains in the hands of Chief-Executive: Patrick Nolan, who continues his excellent work under the ownership of Anaheim Sports Group.

In the 2018/19 season Ashwood City have been subject of the documentary podcast: The Offensive, which provides insight into the behind the scenes of our club.
